Salvation through Jesus

God has a purpose for your life.

Even before the world was made, God chose us for Himself because of His love.
Ephesians 1:4 (NLV)

We are separated from God and need to be restored to a ‘right relationship’ with him.

For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
Romans 3:23 (NLT)

Jesus came to remove all that separates you from God.

We thank God for His loving-favor to us. ... through His much-loved Son. Because of the blood of Christ, we are bought and made free from the punishment of sin. And because of His blood, our sins are forgiven. Ephesians 1:6-7 (NLT)

Jesus makes it possible for us to:

  • Come to God just as we are, openly admitting our flaws and imperfections.
  • Experience God’s gracious forgiveness of all our sin and find peace.
  • Put past hurts behind us and use our struggles to forge a new life.
  • Have a new spiritual life that transforms how we think, feel and respond.
  • Have assurance that we are secure in God’s love, trusting that He will never leave us.

You can put your faith in Christ.

Those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to Himself through what Christ did. 2 Corinthians 5:17 -18 (NLT)

For by His loving-favor you have been saved from the punishment of sin through faith. It is not by anything you have done. It is a gift of God. Ephesians 2:8 (NLT)

Following Christ is more than a Prayer

You will have a very difficult time finding a "sinners prayer" as a response to the gospel in the New Testament. Jesus ask us to respond to him through repentance and faith. Praying a prayer may be the beginning to that relationship, but faith in Christ is so much more. Faith is a life signified by following Christ alongside a community of believers.
